Greetings, I apologize if this has already been answered in one of the previous posts, I have been searching them for about an hour and have found little help.

Recently, I had a corrupt file on my windows backup partion, and windows chkdsk'd it and I believe, deleted everything on that partition. Since then I haven't been able to read anything on the disk in windows (it tells me to format the disk). And I have never been able to read the disk with knoppix. I have a SATA drive, and a friend tells me the problem is that knoppix doesn't support my chipset. What my chipset is, I couldn't tell you, nor do I know how to add support. Any additional help is grealt appreciated.
I am using a DFI Lanparty DK 935 Series mobo
