Knoppix 3.9 no longer detecting my pen drives
I have Knoppix 3.9 on cd & am using to recover files from my acer laptop which will not boot on windows xp media, because the following file is missing or corrupt WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM.
I tried a seagate external drive last night but knoppix will not make it writable as it says it is ntfs. Today no pen drives are being detected when I load Knoppix
Is there an equivalent of My computer where I can look for the drives?
Many thanks

I might suggest as well that you download and burn the latest version of knoppix. This should enable you to make your NTFS drive writeable, but its not completely necessary.

thanks it's handy to know but Ive now managed to tranfer files using a small usb pen drive, linux would not deal with a brand new 2gb one, just my luck.
