Permission Denied On USB Hard Drive
Please be patient with me.
I have a 40Gb USB hard drive formatted as MAC OSX (0xaf) that contains many .jpg and .mp3 files. I want to transfer these files to a Windows PC. The PC does not recognise the drive.
I have loaded Knoppix v6.2. The drive mounts but I get 'Permission Denied' when I try to access it.
I'm a new to Knoppix / Linux. Can anyone help me access these files.
Thanks
Ray

As an outside chance, try version 5.1. It is the gold standard of Knoppix.
Also, google for some "mac aware" file recovery programs.
Good Luck,

Post the output of sudo fdisk -l command here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
