    Can't access the hard drive

    Maybe this has been asked before. A few months ago I got a Dell Inspiron laptop from dealrocker.com. It was working pretty fine, but suddenly attacked by Windows Police Pro and he getting blue screen ever since. He can't start his laptop in any mode. He tried Knoppix CD to immediate access to the hard drive but had no success. He just wanna retrieve the hard drive and reinstall the Win XP. Need your help to perform this task.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi and Welcome !

    We have to check partition structure of your Hard disk first. Boot up from Knoppix CD and open Terminal/Konsole.
    Execute this
    Code:
    sudo fdisk -l
    Post output here.
    * Its small L in fdisk -l.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
