It could be worse than just the memory card reader, it sounds like the BIOS is about to go belly up or something. I suppose at this point, it couldn't hurt much to try anything else. I would check to make sure all cables are securely connected, clean and dust free.....make sure all RAM modules and internal parts are connected securely.

I just cleaned out the inside of the computer with an air compressor about two weeks ago- my dad said it would be a good idea.
Maybe it is the fault of the air compressor?

Was it doing this before you cleaned it out?
