Yes I already have the array built with windows 7, I wanted to mount the array with Knoppix and then add the Linux partitions to the already built array, and then finally chroot into Gentoo and start the install. I just get that error when trying to activate the array, I haven't even got to mounting it yet. I've never worked with raid arrays before, but I've read a lot about it. The main problem I find is a lot of information on this subject is four years old. I would like to do this through a fakeraid, and would do w/e to get it to work. I don't have the space or money to buy more drives is the big problem then just using lvm2 with software raid(mdadm). So any help would be greatly appreciated.
