Using hd install 6.2.1, greetings. I am still trying to fix OpenOffice. I have completely uninstalled the package. Can somebody tell me the proper steps to reinstall the package, with the dependencies. When I use Synaptic it tells me dependencies required, but I can't figure-out how to install them. Thanks.

I would suggest abiword over open office, with all its uncertainty right now. Debian uses < apt-get build-dep (pkg name) > but don't know knoppix -- BTW I had to google it to know that you were talking about Knoppix!!
