Python Uninstall ed GIMP
I recently tried to install gnuradio from source , and after running the configure script, it said I didn't have Python headers, so I used sudo apt-get install python, and that problem was fixed. But I noticed that it uninstalled GIMP, a program i use quite often. So, I downloaded the GIMP tarball and I'm having problems.
"checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.12.5... no
*** Could not run GTK+ test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK+ is incorrectly installed.
configure: error: Test for GTK+ failed. See the file 'INSTALL' for help."
I would like to install GTK+ from apt, but can't find the proper package. I also tried installing GIMP via apt, but It said there were some unmet packages and I don't want to fiddle with it. Any Help?
