How to remove truecrypt?

i have installed truecrypt, but i can't open it and use it.
now i want to remove it and try to install it again.

I used "apt-get remove truecrypt" but it said:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package truecypt

No idea what keepass has to do with truecrypt. They're different packages, used for different purposes.

sorry, i copied the wrong code , i should be "truecrypt"

i think if i need to remove the software i need to type the right software name.

just like "keepass" in the knoppix is "keepassx"

Keepass and KeepassX are different packages. They do the same thing, more or less, but use different files. Either will work on Linux, but only KeepassX, AFAIK, also runs on Windows and OSX.

Truecrypt isn't in most repositories, so you probably installed it manually. That means the package manager and apt-get know nothing about it. You'll have to remove it manually.
