RANDR problem, 640x480 jail
Im running knoppix 3.7 and after a problem trying to install a video driver everything messed up with my X11 server xfree 4.3, i would like to eliminate it and install xorg, there is plenty websites saying how to install xorg but i cant find anything about how to eliminate xfree, with this problem in the randr i cant change from 640x480 and is awful to work in such way

at last i did!
it seems after a loooooooooot of googling that the #$%@%^ ati drivers for linux doesnt allow u to change the resolution so u have to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 manually and change there the resolution u want to
Incredible!!! This people from ATI seem to think noone use Linux?! for sure this is a customer next time will buy Nvidia card
