Saving Config to USB "thumb" drive in 3.7
Hi:
I have been a fairly regular Knoppix user to access dead PC hard drives for some time but just tried out version 3.7.
I have a Sandisk 256-MB USB drive on which I could easily save my configuration info in 3.6. But 3.7 mounts it as read-only and does not show it as a possible place to save the configuration files. In fact one of my PC's on which 3.6 was just fine does not show the USB drive as all.
Is there some setting in 3.7 to enable saving configuration files to the USB thumb drive?
Thanks,
Jess

Hi,
goto the /etc/fstab file and check the entry which goes something like /dev/sda1 /mnt/removable and place rw,exec, users at the end of the line, before the 0 0 (or someother numbers)
