Write permissions not working
I've been having some difficulty writing to FAT32 hard disks with 3.8.1. It's my girlfriend's family's computer, and after a "professional" removed some virii and spyware win2000 is absolutely buggered (no copying/cutting and pasting, add/remove programs is empty, and so on). They've got 2 drives, an 80 GB and a 9 GB.
I was going to use Knoppix to copy what they wanted to keep to hdb but no luck. This is what I did:
-Set the passwords for root and knoppix users
-Right clicked on hda1 and hdb1 and set permissions to write
I still got errors about "can't create hda1\..\new folder." Is there something else I need to do?
