Newb and I need some help.

I'm new to linux and I am using Knoppix 3.3 and I just had a few questions. First off, will it save what I do and change after I log off even though it is ran from the CD and not the hard drive? Second. I have a Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adaptor and I was just wondering how I would get that to work in linux so I could get on the internet. Thanks.

If you search through the menus, you should see something about "saving config".
And then on boot up you will execute "myconfig=scan" or something close to that.

Have you tried booting up with the knoppix cd and seeing if knoppix will configure the Network adapter for you.

If that doesn't work, I would try getting a newer version of Knoppix, they are up to 3.9.
3.3 is pretty old.
