    How can I download something from the web on knoppix to my hard drive. It never lets me. Always acts as if my hard drive is a file!

    if you have it mounted, you should be able to save to it...... what have you tried

    on knoppix there should be a graphical mounter........ it would be called mount partitions (or something like that). It is just like having an extra hard drive in windows, except it is not automatically "ready to go"
