No sound after hard drive install works with live dvd
No sound with Knoppix 4.0. Sound card is fine with SuSe 9.3, Win XP and the sound works fine with the knoppix live dvd just don't work after hard drive install.
any ideas?

Check alsamixer, it could just be that all of your volumes are turned all the way down.

There turned all the way up.
I tryed the soundcard configuration utility and here is the message that i get.
you don't seem to be running a kerrnel with modular sound enabled.
(soundcore.o was not found in the module search path)
