    ERROR - cant boot

    first i had a problem loading the kernel, but disabling acpi fixed that... so maybe this is a BIOS problem?

    while its scanning and such i get
    ERROR: CANNOT UNITE READ-ONLY MEDIA AND INITIAL RAMDISK


    I have an HP, Intel Celeron 2.93 GHz
    248MB RAM
    Integraded Video (Intel motherboard)

    Sounds like a UnionFS problem. Try the newest version of Knoppix, it should be resolved.
