I am a newbie in Knoppix and i want to install ns-2.29 using Knoppix 3.1 live cd. I tried instaling it.. But it says its not able to create symbolic links. I am running the installation from my mounted hard disk in super user mode. It says it cannot create symbolic links and that the operation is not permitted though I am able to create symbolic links for files in the root dorectory.

Well... I 've come to an dead end. And i have started having doubts whether ns2 can be installed using knoppix. Can i have your advice on that? And i need help in sorting out this symbolic links problem....
