Ok, i downloaded Phlak (a dirivitive of Knoppix) and I've been looking through the website I got it from all their faq's and stuff and can't find the root password ...

    Phlak (live-cd came with no root?)


    Ok, i downloaded Phlak (a dirivitive of Knoppix) and I've been looking through the website I got it from all their faq's and stuff and can't find the root password for the live cd. I tried "root" and "phlak" and yes I even googled around for it with no luck. Anybody know this one?

    Most livecds that I have worked with the root login pass was "root" or "toor".

    As for your other post, you can delete it as long as nobody replies to it.

    I guess it is not either of those.
    I downloaded Phlak, and checked.

    If you open a root terminal and type a command such as "ethereal" or "etherape", those progs will come up with root privileges.
