wont boot from CD

hello I had knoppix 5 booting to on my IBM laptop but then I tried a cheat-code ,well several, I was trying to free up my dvd rom so I tried "knoppix tohd " this sudo-install failed. Now it wont boot from the dvd rom it insists on looking for the cd in /dev/hda which is my hard drive.help please thx OK my mistake possible that knoppix 5 never ran and has nothing to do with boot parameters

Try using various cheat code:
bootfrom
nofstab
-b

Perhaps you should replace the MBR with previous MBR (Windows?).
