xine absent in 5.0.1 version

Downloaded knoppix v5.0.1.
It seems there is no provision for accessing video.
In version 4.0 there was xine available which is absent in latest version.
whenever I try to access my video file window comes up with message
KDEInit could not launch 'xine',:
couldn't find 'xine' executable.
Whenever I try open with I can see xine there.
Please advise me how can I access video files in new version of knoppix.

The CD version xine is not included while the DVD still has it. Which one do you have?
Btw, have you tried Kaffine?

I did try Kaffine.
But the video format which I have does not work with kaffine.
Is there any way to solve this problem.

I'm assuming u have the CD version.
Well
If you have HDD space you can partition a linux file and download xine or even mplayer.
Remaster the CD to include xine, however, u need to elminate a large apt.
or even burn a cd with xine and mplayer with a poor mans install.
Finally, Burn the DVD version.
