knoppix 5.1
envision en 7600 lcd monitor. nvidia graphics card/ge force 7300gs
boots fine until initialization the monitor floats box on black screen that says input not supported. help
live cd
don't prefer ubuntu
sick of bill gates
want something new if i can get this to work

i'm sick of gates, too
try some cheatcodes to pinpoint your problem
mine wouldn't start up either, but "knoppix nodma" at the boot screen solved it
you can try "knoppix failsafe" if you're really desperate, otherwise there are lots and lots of options you can turn off
for example, nodma turned off DMA acceleration, which apparently conflicts with Knoppix on some computers.
