connecting to the internet with a modem
hi i have knoppix 4.0 and ive been trying to connect to the internet and i can never get on, i use the dialer on knoppix but idk if that works, and my isp doesnt have any support for knoppix (netzero) so im screwed can anyone help me???????

Most modems are not supported on Linux, sorry. In my experience this is the only piece of hardware almost impossible to get working on Linux. We can try something.

Get somehow http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz and put it on your home directory
Post output hereCode:gunzip scanModem.gz chmod +x scanModem
