any explorer or anything??

Does DSL have a system explorer or soemthing like windows explorer?

Firefox isn't a system explorer. If you're looking for something to explore the file system, then maybe Konqueror is more suitable.

emelfm is also pretty good

Nothing beats the command line :D.

You could use Firefox to see the directories and files (try navigating to file:/// ). You can't do much with the files though this way.

I have never tried Emelfm but it does seem like it is what you are looking for.
