Welcome to the forums! :)
Here's a HowTo for resetting the root password that should get you up and running again:
friend the problem is that i enter in single user mod and change the password using "passwd" command. But when i reboot the system the logon screen appear.the user name(my name ) is listed left side.i change the user name and type try to enter as "root". but message appear fail to login.
Did you try the alternate method?
Are you trying to login to the gui as root?
This is normally disabled by default.
There is a file that you can edit, I will see if I can find it if it important.
If that's what you are trying to do, I agree totally with budman7 and think you should leave the root account disabled.

See man su.
easy in the console window type in su super user which makes you a root for a short time than type in passwd root and type in 2 times.
