"knoppix screen" boot option doesn't work!

Hi,

I am trying to get my screen resolution to 1024x.I have Dell dimension 4600 PC,with 17"monitor. Following suggestions here,I used the options during boot,like 'knoppix screen' . The resolution improves immediately,but as the booting continues and the screen changes,it goes back to the old resolution of 680x480 :( .
How do I make the boot options persisistent?

You might try adding the "depth" and "vsync" options along with the screen option. Be sure to use values you know your monitor can handle.
