    Thumbs up one Sound help needed....


    Hi all,
    i installed fedora 7 on my laptop-acer aspire 5310
    Sound is not working.
    I tried to download alsa driver from alsa-project.org/pub/driver/alsa-driver-1.0.15.tar.bz2 site and complied and installed like this
    Code:
    ./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
    make
    sudo make install
    and I got a lot of new controls in my audio mixer.


    ..still unable to get this sound working.
    I'm living with laptop for past 10-14 days ..yet to play music on it
    please help me.

    Yes now i got it right...no need to download anything and complie as i did before
    just change /etc/modprobe.conf file and added(i'm using acer aspire 5310)

    options snd-hda-intel model=acer

    Now sound works
