Hi People, I am looking to buy a cheap laptop to run Ubuntu Linux 7.10. I was thinking about a refurbished IBM Thinkpad X30. Trouble is, the CD Drive is in a docking station which I'm not sure if it will be fully supported by Ubuntu.

Could someone out there please tell me if this is a good laptop to go for? I have been reading other posts and people do seem to think Thinkpads are quite good as far as compatibility goes.
