After powering down my wifi card I found that the laptop ran much cooler(cool like xp). It looks like I might have to find a different minipci or wifi usb card.

apparently linux puts a lot of strain on this wifi card making it run pretty hot. Even when I tried disabling wireless networking, the laptop still got hot in that area. I have to power down the card entirely using the Fn+F5 key before it cooled. I'm going to research this a bit, hopefully find a fix, and post a solution
