Battery Percentage Moniter
I have Mandrake 10, and in Windows IBM has software that moniters my battery life. Is there a similar program that I can use in Linux?

Klaptop is the answer if you're running KDE. Not to sure about Gnome.

If you are using Gnome, you can right click on the panel, goto Add to Panel, Utility, Battery Charge Monitor. You can configure it by right clicking on the battery and choosing Properties. Hope this helps.

You may have to install acpi and acpid to get it to work, though. I did with my Compaq Presario 2100, but it works fine now.
