From what I can see online it has

[SOLVED] Help with OLD laptop.

Can this run Linux?
What version of linux?? I was thinking of DSL.

Yes, DSL would be a good starting place with the low RAM count on that machine.
You could also look at Puppy Linux.oz

Thanx for all those that had a look.
I threw the laptop away. It just wasn't worth the effort.
