Hi guys, good afternoon.

My cousin just came here awhile ago and she brought an Acer Aspire notebook. The product name is AOA110. The storage is SDD(I don't know the capacity) and memory is 512MB. There's no optical drive and floppy drive.

I turn ON the notebook, after the POST a blank screen and a mouse arrow are only displayed and it stucked there. So I decided to reformat and install Ubuntu 8.04 using flash drive. Here's the guide that I followed.

The notebook booted to the flash drive and I selected the "Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer". After loading here's what I got:
udevd-event [1410]: run_program: '/sbin/modprobe' abnormal exit.

BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5ubuntu12) Built-in shell (ash).
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs)_
Even if I select "Install Ubuntu" same thing happened.

Thanks and God bless.
