Laptop Brightness problem after installing NVIDIA drivers
i am using fedora 11 on my sony vaio VGN-CS17G....
and now when i installed the drivers for my NVIDIA graphics card provided at their website, I had this problem that I was unable to adjust the brightness.....
after googling I realized that this is a persistent problem and I wonder till nobody is giving attention to it!!
Has anybody got some fix for the problem.... Or I'll have to wait for later versions for the problem to fix??
Help me.... i'm really frustrated!!

I've had brightness and dimness problems with different monitors with the nvidia drivers but have always been able to correct it. You are not able to set gamma and brightness with:
? You could also try adjusting gamma from the command line with:Code:nvidia-settings
If the screen is too bright, run the number in the other direction until it's the way you want. For more, do:Code:xgamma -gamma 1.1-9 (the higher this number the "brighter")
Code:xgamma -options
