fan won't turn off
I am brand new to Linux and have installed ubuntu 9.10 on my Toshiba satellite a- 505. Everything went very well and In have set up the partitions so that I can dual boot to either Ubuntu or vista. Both operating system work great and I am was very happy with Linux until I noticed that my fan would not turn off when I was loaded in Ubuntu. I have almost no programming knowledge and am entirely self taught so if someone could guide towards a way to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

Makes sense thank you that was about the only place I had not looked. I also found a Program that allows me to set the parameters for what temp the fan turns off and on.
