linux on fujitsu siemens laptop

Hi,

i am about to buy a laptop as in the title of this post.
I am a long time user of mandrake linux (on desktop).
I would like to keep on using it also on the new computer,so i'd like to know if mandrake is compatible with all the components of the fs amilo 1420.

i mean video card,sound,modem,touchpad,wireless,etc

has anyone tried to use it on that laptop?have you had problem?how did u solve it?

are there other linux distribution that are more suitable for laptops?and for this specific laptop?

i accept any suggestion on how to run the amilo m 1420 with linux...

on the hardware compatability, I know the mandrake site has a database of all supportable hardware, just enter what you have and the applet will tell you if its supported
