Can anybody out there help me, I am trying to find a guide to install mandriva to an Hp tc1100 tablet pc. I have it working fine using mint but want to try a quality KDE distro.

Mint has an awesome KDE desktop too. I think you should to try it out.
You can install "kde-full" from Software Manager or Package Manager (or in terminal with "sudo apt-get kde-full")I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Thanks for the tip, I tried it but I feel it is lacking compared to a primarily KDE based flavour such as Mandriva or Suse.

Xange is fedora-based and the best-functioning KDE distro I've seen.

Since you like Mint, you might try Kubuntu, another *buntu based distro.

A quick search on distrowatch brought up:
Kanotix, Mandriva, Mepis, PCLinuxOS, Sabayon, Sidux, Slackware, Slax, and others. All have KDE listed as the default desktop.Last edited by MASONTX; 08-09-2010 at 01:51 AM. Reason: spelling
