Does anyone know of any Laptops out there that have two or more hard drives that are smaller than 17''?
When searching all I have been able to find are laptops 17" or bigger that come available with two or more hard drives.

There are more than a few. Some Dell's have the option. The Thinkpads have an internal drive and most support an "ultrabay" where the CD/DVD ROM can be replaced with a second battery or HDD.

Personally, I just get a USB (ok performance) or eSata (faster) external hard drive. I have a Dell D630 laptop w/ drive bay, but I use that generally for a second battery so I get better run time when on the road.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
