    Toshiba Saatellite 1800

    I got this old Toshiba from some one I know. It runs xp Super Duper Slow.
    I am looking to use this system to stream movies\Anime over my network. "100MB" to my tv.
    The system has a total of 512MB of ram and the AMD core is clocked at 1.1GHZ.

    The reason I want to do this is because I need something for streaming to the tv.

    I would also like to be able to still use the lcd scrren (Like cloned to the tv)

    All of the video files are on my desktop computer running XP,
    I need some sort of linux to work with this system and I know nothing when it comes to linux

    Mint LXDE or Lubuntu should work for what you want to do. Both will work with the 512 MB ram you have.
