    Regarding HP EliteBook 8560p

I installed SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1 X64 kernerl 2.6.32 on HP EliteBook 8560p notebook and it went well except the LAN and Wifi which did not recognized.

Any ideas what can I do to get Lan and Wifi up and working? Many thanks!

knowing that my LAN card is Intel 82579LM and 82579V Gigabit Ethernet

    and Wifi is

    intel centrino advanced -n 6205

    HI leblinux,

    I'm not that familiar with
    SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1 X64 kernerl 2.6.32
. I suggest however that you can try posting the outputs asked here. Perhaps the wireless gurus can spot something from your outputs. .

    All the best,

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
I would think that the wired ethernet should work - most Intel hardware is well supported in current Linux versions. Have you visited the Intel web site and checked for specific drivers? As for the WiFi, same question - did you check with Intel? They have a LOT of Linux drivers for their stuff that has not made it into the kernel tree as yet.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!
