Fijitsu Laptop Mobile 510 agp
Please can anyone help with the following -
Have installed Mandrake 10 on a Fujitsu Mobile 510 agp laptop which seems to be all ok except for a couple of things, (a) Internet/Modem (b) Sound.
(a) Have installed Mandrake 10 on a desktop pc and have used a 'HowTo' obtained from the internet which has installed my ADSL modem on the desktop with no problems. I have now installed Mandrake 10 on my Fujitsu mobile 510 agp laptop and that has gone ok as well.
The problem is that when I come to 'make' - 'make install' the programe for the modem it will not run and informs me of the following -
" ./configure: line 1398: flex: comand not found checking for flex --lex - cannot find output from lex "
I suspect that as the laptop only has a 5.5gb Hd that on loading Mandrake from the cd's, it has only installed certain parts of the programe to save space. If anyone could help to identify the above info, or perhaps point me in the right direction to fix it, then would be most grateful.

i suspect that your hard drive has nothing to do with it:
aka you need to install flexCode:flex: command not found

Do you mind telling us how you fixed it? since other people might have the same problem.

For Dylunio
thank you for reminding me to post the fixes. My above request was for help in finding out what my error message meant and how I could find any info on 'Flex'. This apparently was a file or app missing from my setup. I did find it via 'Mandrake Control Centre' in one of the packages.
You can find more info from the following pages -

My thanks to Martin N for pointing me in the right direction.
Hope that helps. Regards - J
