    Overheating

i've been having hot laptop issues since i switched to linux a couple of years ago.
I was using opensuse for a bit and used lm-sensors and it used to run at about 75 C
it used to stress me out quite a bit
i switched to xubuntu and stopped worrying about it but the fan was always running at medium to high
it would get so hot that i had to put paper between my hand and where it was resting on the laptop
after about two years, I installed mageia today and so far it's been running the coolest since i first got the laptop in 2011
I can't believe it because i searched so long and looked at a lot of technical solutions such as running Powertop
i think it got so bad that my keyboard has started to warp a bit
so excited to see if Mageia solves this problem in the long run
