Wireless connection
Hi There,
i am very new to Linux i have just installed red hat linux on my laptop i have a problem Linux is not detecting my Wireless PCMCIA card i have netgear's(802.11g) wg511 card. can some one please help me in finding the driver and also i have a problem with the sound card Linux is not detecting the sound card as well i have Acer Extensa 2300 series laptop

Have you tried the ndiswrapper?

I am Sorry Mate i haven't what is that is that a substitute for Netgear. can you please let me know in detail the other problem that i have with linux is that its does not shut down properly i know it is a very stupid question to ask perhaps i can't find any other way to solve the problem. i will be really great full to you thank you mate.
