Is it possible to get 3D acceleration on Centrino?
Hi, I'm going to buy a Centrino laptop. Recently I read that ATI Mobility graphic cards are not supported by the Linux drivers provided by that company. My problem is that all Centrino laptops come with ATI or Intel graphic cards, so I'll finally buy a computer with these cards.
Has anyone heard plans for supporting these cards (3D acceleration) in brief? Has anyone 3D acceleration on his/her Centrino?
BTW, Which video card do you think is better: ATI Mobility RADEON 9200 or ATI Mobility RADEON 7000?
Thanks in advance

There exist open source drivers for all ati based graphics cards up till 9200 series, check out dri.soureforge.net for more information about these drivers.
