This notebook has a widescreen display at the resolution 1680x1050.

Currently, when I access the Console on VC/1-6, I am left with a lower screen resolution (1400x1050) in which I have black bars on the left and right side of my display.

I would like to be able to utilize my display under the console at the full resolution, however have been unable to locate a value to place into the /boot/grub/menu.lst configuration file in which I can use this resolution.

What I need is a value that I can place under "vga=0x???" so that I can utilize the full resolution of my display.

If this is not the correct method of accomplishing this alternate resolution that I need, please inform me of the steps required to utilize my display fully.
