iBook+Linux+Airport Extreme=?!?!
i just installed Yellow Dog linux(newest kernal) onto my ibook
and i cannot get my Airport Extreme wireless card to work
i really dont want to buy a usb card
but i heard that there isn't a driver available
could someone point me in the direction of a third party driver,
if there even is one?

According to this, the Airport Extreme card uses the Broadcom chipset, the same as my WMP54g Linksys wireless card. If that's the case, there are no Linux drivers for it, but you *might* be able to get ndiswrapper or DriverLoader to work... of course those require MS Windows drivers and I doubt you'll find them for your Airport card.
On a side note, any particular reason you're not running OS X? Or is this a dual-boot?Registered Linux user #270181
