what lappy?
a friend of mine is getting a lappy for crimbo and has asked me for advice, so i have decided to come here
he wants to be able to run NWN on it and have a good internet connection, all for £700! o.0
i just want some linkage to good UK sites, since i am not an expert on laptops and don't know where to go
any help would be appreciated, thanks.
PS, just come back off my hols and was 17 on sunday
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

Maybe a dell would be pretty good for this price, but check eBay, cos you are bound to find some good deals, if he can wait 'til after crimbo, then there will be some great deals on there
