Suse 9.2 on Inspiron 9300
I'm trying to install SuSE 9.2 from a bootable DVD onto my 9300. YaST tries to resize NTFS partition but fails. Had to do it manually with ntfsresize, then installation completes but now it freeses after the mouse cursor shows up.
I can boot to the command line but I'm new to linux and don't know where to go from here.
XP still works fine.

1. What kind of mouse you have ? (external/internal/both) (buttons, scroll wheel, brand)
2. What's in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf or /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4) in the section InputDevice what uses the driver mouse ?
To navigate through the configfile you could use 'less /etc/X11/xorg.conf for example to navigate through the file (or use your favourite editor)I\'m so tired .....

driver "mouse"
indentifier "mouse[1]"
options "buttons" "5"
options "device" "/dev/input/mice"
options "name" "AlpsPS/2 ALPS Touchpad"
options "protocol" "explorerps/2"
options "vendor" "sysp"
after SuSE boots and the screen goes black, if I touch the touchpad the cursor appears and I can move it around the screen but that where the fun stops.
Thanks
