Vaio + Debian Unstable + Suspend
I am a bit new to Linux, but can find my way around with minimal hand-holding.
Here are the symptoms:
1. "echo mem > /sys/power/state" successfully suspends to ram. All the lights go off, except the power light which blinks steadily orange (indicating sleep I suspect).
2. Pressing a key on the keyboard fires up the machine again (all the lights fire up, including my PCMCIA wireless card, power light, HD light starts to flickr), but the screen remains black.
3. I can SSH into the machine from another machine, but I can't seem to find any command to make the screen come back.
Suspend to disk would be an acceptible alternative, but executing "echo disk > /sys/power/state" returns "bash: echo: write error: Operation not permitted". And yes, I am running it as root.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
