should work ok. I'm running linux on my Acer Aspire 1692WMLi and it seens fine. I used the ATI driver from their websit and that works ok too (3d performance is terrible but if yor're not planning to run game on linux it doesn't matter).
As for the card reader, I've got no adea how to get that working.

The wireless card is an Intel Pro/Wireless 3495 ABG (802.11a/b/g). Stable Linux drivers for this card are expected to be available Q1 2006 according to Intel website.
In the meantime, a development driver is available at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/
