    Acer TravelMate 230 screen resolution

    I'm a complete beginner with regards to LInux, so sorry if this is a stupid question.

    I've downloaded and installed SuSe 10 on my Acer TravelMate 230, and all seems to be working fine except for the screen resolution only going as high as 800x600. I know the monitor can display at least 1024x768.

    Can anyone offer advice on how to get the resolution up as the lo-res display is driving me nuts!

    screen resolution on acer travelmate

    Check http://rffr.de/tm230xc for discusion of fix for similar problem in earlier version of Suse. Good luck.
