adding an extra screen to linux

    Hi!,

I have toshiba staellite 1805 S253 laptop. my screen was having trouble, i think it was dying out so i purchased a standalone screen and right now using that. since i installed linux after a purchased this screen, linux is not configured to recognize my laptop screen.

can anybody tell me how could i add my laptop screen to the linux configuration or in other words how can i make to work both the screens on linux?

    Thanks
